For 2nd time this year, Modi tweets birthday wishes to Ghani
KABUL (Pajhwok): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished President Ashraf Ghani a happy birthday for a second time this year.
However, this time around, Modi got the date right -- unlike the February 12 tweet. Then the suave Afghan leader had said his birthday was on May 19.
Following his February gaffe, a flurry of jokes, light-vein comments and caution urged Modi not to depend so heavily on online searches.
Now that he is on the dot, Modi’scomeback has triggered over 600 re-tweets and around 2,000 likes within a couple of hours, according to NDTV.
Ghani’s profile on Google erroneously lists his birthday as being on Feb. 12. Modi’s error had been spotted by plenty of people.
