Judge gunned down by unidentified assailants in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a retired judge in the eighth police district of Kabul on Friday morning, officials said.
Kabul police crime branch chief, Col. Faridoon Obaidi confirmed the shooting but gave no further details of the incident in the eastern part of the capital.
The murder took place at 4.30am when Haseeb, 67, was returning from a mosque in Bombay Road neighbourhood, the public representative said.
Another source, meanwhile, claimed the victim was a serving judge who signed papers regarding the execution of convicted Taliban militants a few days ago.
