President off to Qatar on 2-day state visit
KABUL CITY (Pajhwok): At the head of a high-level delegation, President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday departed for Doha, the capital of Qatar, on a two-day official visit, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
The president is visiting the Gulf State at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the place said in a statement.
During his visit, Ghani will address the 16th Doha Forum titled "Stability and Prosperity for All" and will meet the Emir and Qatari prime minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Ghani will also meet Trade Council of Monarch, businessmen, investors and Qatar-based Afghan businessmen.
National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar, urban development minister, agriculture minister and other officials are accompanying the president on the trip.
