1 child killed, 3 wounded in Ghazni mortar blasts
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): One child was killed and another three wounded in two separate mortar shell explosions in southern Ghazni province, police said on Monday.
Ghazni police chief Aminullah Amarkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News a 14-year-old boy was killed when a mortar shell went off in Kalajoz area of Ghazni City, the provincial capital, on Monday afternoon.
Separately, three children were wounded when a mortar shell they were playing with exploded in Rahmatkhel locality of Zankhan district.
But a resident of the area said two children were killed and another three wounded in the blast. The children had found the unexploded device in a desert, he added.
