Four border policemen killed in Herat
HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Four Afghan border policemen were shot dead as a result of Taliban ambush in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.
The governor’s spokesman, Jilani Farhad told Pajhwok Afghan News that the border policemen were shifting ration to their headquarters in the Torghondai town Sunday afternoon when they were ambushed by Taliban fighters.
Taliban killed the four onboard policemen and set police vehicle on fire, he said. In an investigative team has been sent to the area. Taliban have so far asserted no responsibility for the attack.
