MPs endorse Sangari as Supreme Court member
In line with the constitutional requirement, the nominee was introduced to the lower house for a vote of confidence.
Of the 224 lawmakers present, 132 voted for Sangari. He needed a minimum of 113 ballots to win the apex court membership.
Prof. Mohammad Zaman Sangari, who received higher education in political science,has enough judicialknowledge and experience.
Sangari was nominated for the slot by President Ashraf Ghani in March 2016. The MPs also approved Abdullah Habibi as defence minister and Masoom Stanikzai as intelligence chief.
