Indian Embassy celebrates Yoga Day in Kabul

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Indian diplomatic mission in Afghanistaninfo-icon on Tuesday held Yoga protocol to mark the International Day of Yoga festival.

The embassy extended invitation to different individuals to take part in the hour-long Yoga exercise aimed at making the individual happy and in a balance of mind.

In Chandigarh, India’s yoga-loving Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed the ancient Indian practice the “biggest mass movement in the worldinfo-icon” as he rose early on Tuesday to lead 30,000 devotees through a series of complex asanas in the city.

“Any other day celebrated by UN cannot compete with Yoga Day. It is probably the first time that a day has become mass movement,” said Modi, according to the Telegraph.
