Pakistani, Afghan Taliban clash in Kunar, 7 dead
ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Six Pakistani and one Afghan Taliban fighters were killed during a clash between them in the Sirkani district of eastern Kunar province, the provincial police chief said on Friday.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkheli told Pajhwok Afghan News that the clash between the Taliban and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan militants broke out on Thursday afternoon in Gulab Pari area of the district.
He said six TTP gunmen were killed and another three wounded during the firefight that left one Taliban fighter dead and two others injured.
The police chief said now the clash had ended and the area was calm. The area residents buried the dead on Friday afternoon.
The Taliban have so far said nothing about the incident.
