Would-be suicide bomber arrested in Kunar capital
KABUL (Pajhwok): A would-be suicide bomber has been arrested by intelligence forces in eastern Kunar province, the spy service said on Monday.
According to a statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the would-be suicide bomber, Hafiz Rahman, son of Mohammad Nabi, was arrested in Asadabad, the provincial capital.
It claimed the detainee wanted to carry out a suicide attack in Asadabad city. The bomber confessed he was trained and equipped in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar.
The NDS also said a car loaded with a large amount of explosives was seized in Sawkai district of Kunar. The statement did not mention when the two incidents took place.
