41 projects worth 72m afs put into service in Kunar
ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Forty-one development projects costing nearly 72 million afghanis have been put into service upon inauguration in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Wednesday.
National Solidarity Programme official at the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Wahidullah Zahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News the new projects were completed during the past three months in Asadabad, the provincial capital, and Sirkani, Narang and Nurgal districts.
He said the projected included 3415 metres of protective walls, 1883 metres of retaining walls, construction of 13395 metres of footpaths, 50 toilets, 9194 metres of water supply pipelines and digging of 52 clean drinking water wells and installation of hand pumps, all benefitting 6610 families.
Zahid said the NSP was launched in Kunar 13 years ago and since 2260 projects had been executed in 940 villages across the province.
