Father, 5 sons die in car-bus collision in Wardak
KABUL (Pajhwok): Five members of a family were killed and another two wounded in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Ghazni highway in central Maidan Wardak province on Sunday.
The dead included father and his five sons. His daughter and wife were wounded in the accident that took place in Salar area of Syedabad district, the spokesman for the Maidan Wardak governor said.
Abdul Rahman Mangal told Pajhwok Afghan News the family was travelling in a car that crashed into a 404 public service transport bus. The injured had been shifted to the district clinic, said Mangal, who had no information about their condition.
A relative of the ill-fated family, Mohammad Ibrahim, also a resident of Syedabad district, said the family of Qari Habib Rahman was on their way home to celebrate Eid with relatives in their village.
He said Rahman was killed along with his five sons aged between five and 14 years. His wife and daughter were wounded in the crash.
He said Qari Habib Rahman had a job in Kabul and he was also a Sharia faculty student at Kabul University in evening time.
