Australia pledges extra $300m for Afghan security forces
The announcement came at a time when NATO member-state gathered in Warsaw, the capital of Poland to renew its pledges for the financial and technical support of Afghan Security forces up to 2020.
Earlier, Australia announced that she would provide $500 million to Afghan security forces from 2010 to 2017.
The extra $300 million pledge of aid was announced after US president extended the stay of US forces in the war torn country till 2017 and decided to pull out over 1,000 troops from Afghanistan.
Currently as many as 270 Australian troops were stationed in Afghanistan under the NATO Resolute Support (RS) mission in Afghanistan.
