7 of a family wounded in Kunar explosion
ASADABAD (Pajhwok): At least seven members of a family were wounded in a remote control bomb explosion in Asadabad, the capital of eastern Kunar province, an official said on Thursday.
Governor Abdul Ghani Musamim told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Dam village situated on the outskirts of Asadabad late on Wednesday.
He said militants exploded the remote control bomb near to a house of a local resident, Mer Afzal who had no connection with the government and was living in a village.
Four children were among the wounded.
Civil Hospital Director Dr. Frooq Sahak confirmed some injured have been evacuated to the hospital. The health condition of the injured was said to be stable.
No groups so far claimed responsibility for the attack
