Uruzgan’s capital: 2 killed as shops roofs’ cave in
TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Two people, including an eight-year-old child, were killed and as many wounded when the roofs of two shops collapsed in the provincial capital’s bazaar in central Uruzgan province on Saturday.
The incident that took place in the Tirinkot bazaar was triggered by digging work for a new adjacent market building, a resident of the city, Jamaluddin, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said two persons were killed and another two were wounded in the incident.
Civil hospital director in Tirinkot, Dr. Niaz Mohammad Ziayarmal, told Pajhwok Afghan News that they had been delivered two dead bodies and as many injured persons from the scene.
He said the dead included an eight-year-old boy and a 20-year-old youth. He said the injured were being treated at the hospital and their condition was out of danger.
