Ghazni women affairs director survives gun attack
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The women affairs director of southern Ghazni province on Tuesday escaped unhurt in a gun attack that left one revenue officer dead in the provincial capital, an official said.
Police chief, Aminullah Amarkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News unidentified gunmen opened fire on Women Affairs Director Shukuria Wali in the Moi Mubarak area of the city this morning.
Wali survived the attack but a revenue officer travelling in her car was killed.“I have given the director three security guards, but I don’t know why she travels without them,” the police chief asked.
Faisal Naveed, a resident of the area, said two motorcyclists opened fire on the director’s car. One person was killed and the attackers managed to escape, he added.
No militant grouphas so far claimed responsibility for the attack. No one has been detained yet in connection with the incident
