3 children dead in Kandahar traffic mishap
KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Three children were killed and five other people wounded in two separate traffic accidents in southern Kandahar province on Thursday, an official said.
The first accident took place in Nagahan locality of Arghandab district when a truck crashed with a Zaranj vehicle killing a minor girl and injuring four other people, Police Spokesman Zia Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He added, the injured persons were shifted to the hospital.
Separately, two children were killed and a motorcyclist wounded in a collision between a truck and motorcycle in the Sharpor area in the limits of 2nd police district of Kandahar City, the provincial capital, Durrani said.
He added police arrested the driver of the truck and was being investigated.
Traffic Police Head Col. Mahmmadullah Khan said the drivers have arrested and the investigation was launched.
He lamented most of the traffic accident caused due to the recklessness of the drivers.
