4 rebels dead, 8 policemen hurt in Maidan Wardak clashes
KABUL (Pajhwok): Four militants have been killed and 15 others, including two civilians and five policemen, were wounded during clashes with militants in the Jalrez district of central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Friday.
Abdul Rahman Mangal, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News, the clash erupted after the insurgents attacked the Sher Khan and Ismaelkhelo check-posts early on Thursday.
He said the check-posts were situated in the middle of civilians’ residencies and the clashes continued until late Thursday.
Taliban confirmed the clashes, the groups in its internet page wrote at least eight policemen have been killed and four others wounded in the attack.
