Kunar tribal elder killed in roadside bombing
ASADABAD (Pajhwok): A tribal elder succumbed to his wounds in hospital after being injured in a roadside bombing in eastern Kunar province on Sunday.
The elder, Haji Mursalin Khan, a resident of Nari district, was on his way home when a roadside bomb tore through his vehicle, Kunar police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the blast took place at 10am this morning, seriously injuring Mursalin, who then was rushed to a hospital in neighbouring Nangarhar province where he died of his wounds at hospital.
He said another three persons travelling with Haji Mursalin in the pick up vehicle sustained slight injuries.
