Pakistan rejects Afghans denied entry or deported
“This is to clarify that the Government of Pakistan has no such policy which bars any Afghan nationals form entering Pakistan for having visa of any other country including India,” the Pakistani diplomatic mission in Kabul said.
On Tuesday, some media reports quoted the director of the Hamid Karzai International Airport, Mohammad Asif Jabbarkhel as saying that over the past few days Pakistan had deported or denied entry to at least 10 Afghans after finding Indian visas in their passports.
The reports also quoted Muzghan Sulaimankhel, one of the Afghans who were denied entry into Pakistan as saying:
"I went for medical treatment to Pakistan; when I arrived at the airport officials told me that they can not allow me to enter Pakistan because of the existence of an Indian visa in my passport.”
But in a statement, the Pakistani Embassy said “all Afghans having valid Pakistani visa are entitled to travel to Pakistan.”
