14 returning refugees wounded in Torkham accident
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Fourteen returning refugees, including women and children, have been wounded in a traffic accident in the border town of Torkham in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said Sunday.
The accident took place Saturday evening near a police-check-post at the 7th gate due to recklessness of the driver, a statement from the Department of Refugee and Returnee Affairs said.
The injured were shifted to health centres in Torkham and Jalalabad. Dr. Ehsanullah, civil hospital director, said 10 I injured people had been evacuated to the hospital and condition of all injured was satisfactory.
