Logar University to have hostel facility
PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Construction work on a hostel building was launched at the university in central Logar province on Monday, officials said.
Governor Halim Fidai told Pajhwok Afghan News the hostel facility would be constructed at a cost of 20 million afghanis being provided by India and the project would take 15 months to complete.
He said the two-storey building would have 24 rooms and the capacity to accommodate 200 students.
Logar university chancellor Prof. Wahidullah Abdul Rahimzai said the campus had no hostel facility before.
Abdul Qasim Khosh-i-Wal, the provincial council deputy chief, said he was happy about the launch of construction work on the hostel building.
The Logar University has 305 students among them 25 girls enrolled at the chemistry and biology departments.
