Most security bosses unprofessional: Massoud

Most security bosses unprofessional: Massoud

Sep 06, 2016 - 19:13

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): President’s special representative for reforms and good governance on Tuesday said most officials of security organs were unprofessional and had been hired against political and tribal connections, creating many problems for people.

Ahmad Zia Massoud was addressing a gathering marking ‘Martyrs Week’ in Kabul. He said Afghanistaninfo-icon was fighting international terrorism and security organs in such a situation should not be under the influence of political parties and tribal affairs.

“Every day security incidents occur, but when they are investigated, the main cause behind much happens to be poor management by unprofessional commanders hired against political or tribal connections. It is unfortunate that innocent people are paying the price for all corrupt practices,” he said.

Massoud said connections-based employments in the country’s current situation were no longer tolerable for the Afghans.

He accused Pakistaninfo-icon of still continuing to support insurgency in Afghanistan and asked the Afghans to be united in steering the country out of crises.

Hafiz Mansoor, a Wolesi Jirgainfo-icon member, said the national unity government leaders had fooled people by their deceptive pledges.
