District attorney gunned down by Taliban in Farah
MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A district attorney has been shot dead by Taliban militants while offering prayers in western Faryab province, authorities said on Sunday.
Qazi Jalal, judge for Balcharagh town, was gunned down last night, Khwaja Sabzposh district’s administrative head Abdullah Masoomi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Last year, the official recalled, Jalal had been held captive for three months by the insurgents before being released on the condition that he would resign his job.
Faryab Attorney Sibghatullah Mashriq also verified the killing of the Balcharagh judge, who lived in the Qazal Qashlaq area of Khwaja Sabzpost town.
