President denounces attack on Kashmir military base
KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani has vehemently denounced a deadly assault attack on an Indian military base in the disputed region of Kashmir, stressing joint efforts to combat terrorism.
Seventeen Indian soldiers were killed and several others wounded in Sunday’s attack on their brigade headquarters near the border with Pakistan.
In a statement, Ghani said terrorism posed a threat to the security of the region and a joint regional and international strategy was needed to counter it.
