Paghman blaze kills at least 1 man, burns 2 oil tankers

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): One man was killed and another wounded when a fire broke out at a fuel storage facility in the Paghman district of Kabul province on Tuesday, a shopkeeper said.

The fire erupted at around 9:00am in Haider Khan Kala locality. Firefighters are busy trying to put out the blaze. Two oil tankers and four fuel depots were gutted.

Eyewitness said the fire erupted when an individual poured acid on fuel. Shopkeeper Attaur Rahman said 250 fuel depots were situated in the facility.

It is the third incident of the kind in Kabul this year. Earlier, one man was killed and several shops were destroyed in a blaze at the Abasin Zadran Market in Kota-i-Sangi area.

Dozens of shops and firewood were destroyed in a recent firethat erupted at a market in the Quwa-i-Markaz area of Kabul.
