India, Afghanistan may boycott SAARC summit in Pakistan

NEW DELHI (Pajhwok) Afghanistaninfo-icon's ambassador to India has said Bangladesh, Afghanistan and India may boycott the SAARCinfo-icon Summit in Pakistanin the wake of recent attacks in the three countries.

Dr.Shaida Mohammad Abdali told India's NDTV: "We have to make sure that we bring the maximum number of countries and I am sure most South Asian nations are in line with what we think.

“Therefore, the effort should be comprehensive and we should single out a country that spoils our unity and regional peace. Any measure that brings peace, stability and unity to the region should not be ruled out."

The diplomat said terror was no longer an issue involving non-state actor. “Now we have ample proof of state-sponsored terrorism," he said, referring to Pakistaninfo-icon.

He told the news channel a clear must be drawn line between a country sponsoring terrorism and one that was an ally in the war against terrorism. This difference must be made and should be made immediately, he demanded.

Eighteen Indian soldiers were killed as Pakistan-backed militants attacked their headquarters in Uri town of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
