500 Afghan families voluntarily return from Peshawar
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Five hundred Afghan families voluntarily returned to their homeland from different parts of Peshawar via Torkham border, officials said on Friday.
In Torkham, the returning families were offered sweets and cold drinks by Pakistan’s border officials. Ahmad Wazirwal, the Afghan refugee Shura chief, praised Pakistan for hosting three million refugees.
He underlined the need for cordial relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan for the sake of stronger trade and defence links, according to The News International.
