2 children killed, 3 injured in Kandahar roadside blast
KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): At least two children have been killed and three others wounded in a roadside bombing in southern Kandahar province, officials said Saturday.
Governor’s spokesman , Samim Khpalwak told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Tughrak area of Shah Walikot district late on Friday.
The bomb was planted by the Taliban militants and blew up when the children were passing the area, he said.
He said two children were killed and three others wounded in the incident. The ages of the children targeted by the bomb was between eight to 10 years, Khpalwak added.
Militants did not comment on the incident so far.
