24 Daesh rebels eliminated in Nangarhar airstrikes
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Twenty-four Daesh militants have been killed during an ongoing operation in eastern Nangarhar province, local officials claimed on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News 15 Daesh rebels were killed in a foreign forces’ airstrike in Gajni area of Haska Mina district on Friday night.
He said civilians suffered no casualties in the attack.Elsewhere in the province, nine other Daesh members were killed in a similar attack in Achin district.
Provincial police spokesman, Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, said the Islamic State (IS) militants were killed in Badar area of Achin. The insurgent group has not yet commented on the incidents.
