Taliban weapons seized in Nimroz
ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A depot of heavy weapons belonging to the Taliban has been seized by security forces in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Thursday.
Governor Mohammad Sami Sami, told a press conference the depot was recovered in Qala Pachy area of Chahar Berjak district of Nimroz.
Fifty missiles and 10 mortar shells have been seized from the depot belonged to the Taliban militants, he said.
The Taliban planned to use the weapons for destructive activities in Nimroz province, Sami added.
Taliban did not comment on the issue so far.
Chahar Burjak which shares border with Iran and Pakistan is one of the comparably stable districts of Nimroz.
