Policeman dead, 2 civilians hurt in Kabul bombing
KABUL (Pajhwok): One police official was killed and two civilians were wounded as a magnetic bomb attached to a traffic police vehicle exploded in Kabul late on Thursday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.
Sadiq Sdiqi, the spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred in the Kart-i-Naw Market area at around 6:30 pm when the bomb ripped through a traffic police pick-up in the 8th police district.
The driver of the pick-up, a traffic policeman, was killed and two civilians suffered injuries, he said, adding the nature of the blast was not yet known, but a probe had been launched.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
