Bomb explodes inside Herat mosque; no casualties

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A bomb went off inside a mosque in the capital of western Herat province on Friday, one eyewitness said.

Abdul Hakim told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place during Juma prayers. However, he said the blast caused no fatalities.

The explosive device had been placed beneath the pulpit, according to the witness, who said the Herat Ulema Khuda Dad Saleh was also in the mosque at the time of the blast.
