Taliban behead ALP man in captivity in Sar-i-Pul
SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): A policeman has been decapitated in northern Sar-i-Pul province, where four reconciled insurgents rejoined the Taliban along with their weapons, an official said on Tuesday.
Sayed Naqibullah Darman, an official at the provincial police headquarters, told Pajhwok Afghan News that insurgents held an Afghan Local Police (ALP) man captive in Khwaja Yagan locality of Siyad district during a clash on Monday night.
The rebels beheaded the ALP member on Monday night and his body was handed over to his family by ALP personnel.
Meanwhile, a four-member Taliban group led by Amrullah, who joined the peace process one month ago and were made part of the public uprising in Shiramhai area of Sar-i-Pul city, the provincial capital, had rejoined their former comrades.
