WASHINGTON (Pajhwok): Outgoing US President Barack Obama on Wednesday spoke by phone with his Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani and CEO Dr Abdullah, thanking them for the steadfast partnership between the two countries.
“President Obama spoke by phone today with President Ashraf Ghani, who was joined by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah. Obama expressed his deep appreciation for the steadfast partnership between the United States and Afghanistan,” the White House said.
He commended the leaders for their commitment to the Afghan people and applauded the national unity government . . .
