KABUL (Pajhwok): Illegal armed men, while forcibly collecting Ushr (10th part of harvest) killed four brothers and wounded a fifth in Khanabad district of northern Kunduz province, an official said on Tuesday.
Lt. Col. Mohammad Zahir Niyazai, Khanabad police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Arab Qadaq village of the district on Monday afternoon.
The five brothers used knives to show resistance to the armed men who wanted to forcibly demand ushr from their harvest and as a result, the gunmen shot dead four brothers and wounded the fifth.
Niyazai said the armed men were loyal to a notorious illegal armed group commander ‘Matinak’ and they fled the area after the incident.
