KABUL (Pajhwok): Marking the launch of a two-day national conference on vocational education in Kabul, German Ambassador to Afghanistan Martin Jager said on Tuesday his country had invested $6 million in the sector over the past four years and would continue to assist it in future as well.
KABUL (Pajhwok): Higher Education Minister Dr. Obaidullah Obaid on Wednesday said his ministry needed $24 million to admit to higher educational institutes the students flunking the university entrance test.
MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A Higher Education Ministry official said on Monday the process of conducting the university entrance test had begun in northern Balkh province, where more than 25,000 high school graduates were expected to sit the exams over the next three days.

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A group of 18 Afghan security personnel graduated last week from an Explosive Hazardous Reduction Course (EHRC) in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A) said on Saturday.
