KABUL): Eight people were killed and wounded when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in central Uruzgan province on Saturday evening, the governor’s office said.
A woman, a child and two women were killed and four others wounded in the explosion that occurred in the Chambarak area of Sarab district, a statement from the governor’s house said.
The individuals were on their way from the Kijran district of Daikundi province to Tirinkot, the capital of Uruzgan, according to the statement, which blamed the blast on the enemies of peace — a euphemism government officials use for the Taliban.
