Afghan forces kill 11 militants, clear IEDs
KABUL (PAN): Eleven Taliban militants were killed and as many wounded in a string of security operations in different parts of the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday.
At least nine insurgents were captured during the operations in Laghman, Kunduz, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Ghor and Badghis provinces, a statement from the ministry said,
Afghan police, army and intelligence personnel conducted the operations with support from coalition forces to clear several areas of terrorists. Police seized ammunition and IEDs, clearing three landmines in Zabul.
