KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Monday met an Indonesian parliamentary delegation, led by Ahmad Farhad Hamid, at his the Presidential Palace in Kabul.
Welcoming the delegation, the president recalled his visits to the friendly country and thanked the Indonesian government and people for showing him warm hospitality.
A statement from his office said Karzai expressed satisfaction over the current state of relations. The parliamentary team’s visit would go a long way in further cementing the ties, he hoped.
The delegates, who conveyed Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s greetings to Karzai, evinced an interest in helping enhance the capacity of Afghan police and cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Supreme Court.
