For many people it is just a joy of win they celebrate after the end of the game but the cricketing pundits have been in shock how stars like Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Shezad, Rahmat Shah and others could emerge from a society which had been plunged in decades of war, migration and bundles of other problems they had been facing.

Cricket has become No.1 game in the country not due its understanding and love among people but it is because cricketing stars emerged from nowhere, they brought triumphs to the country and introduced Afghanistan to the world that this is a victorious nation and full of talent in diverse fields.

Impressed by the Afghan cricket talent the Indian Primer League (IPL) management this time decided to include some Afghan players in this year auction during which Rashid Khan, leg break spinner and all rounder Mohammad Nabi, paved their way and were bought by the Surisers Hyderabad franchise.

Representing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing 10^th IPL, Khan has grabbed two crucial wickets in an opening encounter of the league.

Playing in his first IPL season, He looked nervous when asked to bowl the sixth over of the match, as openers of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) looked dangerous in chasing a 207 runs target.

With his first delivery smashed for a four in his second bowl of the over, Khan sent Mandeep Singh back to the dressing room on the fourth bowl of his fourth over. The batsman scored 24 of 16 bowls.

The Afghan star once again made an inroad into the RCB batting line-up when he dislodged TM Head, bringing the opposition to 126 for 4.

Khan took two wickets in his four-over spell, giving away 36 run, helping SRH win the match by 35 runs.

In his second match of the league, the Afghan leg-spin prodigy Rashid Khan has helped Sunrisers Hyderabad trounce Gujarat Lions (GL).

The teen-age sensation grabbed three wickets as his side restricted the opposition to 135 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi views the ongoing Indian Premier League is a chance for him and leg-spinner Rashid Khan to prove their mettle.

IPL was a chance for him to show the world that his country had got talent, the Press Trust of India quoted Nabi as saying on Friday.

“There are lots of expectations from me and Rashid to perform in IPL. Afghan cricket fans are waiting. Hopefully, we will perform well,” he told reporters in Hyderabad.

He added the Afghan youth were full of enthusiasm for the sport, though cricketing facilities in the conflict-devastated country left a lot to be desired.

The all-rounder said: “India is building a cricket ground in Kandahar. MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are some of the Indian players who are popular in Afghanistan.

What Afghanistan desperately needed was peace and stability so that the hidden talent could surface from the corners of the country.

The government needed to think if the country is stable and fighting came to an end this nation has a lot to prove themselves on national and international level.
