TALOQAN, May 23, 2012: In another attack by radicals opposed to women, more than 80 schoolgirls were apparently poisoned in northern Takhar province, officials said on Wednesday.
It was the second such attack in as many months in Takhar, where 150 schoolgirls were poisoned last month after they drank contaminated water.
The latest attack targeted students and teachers at the Bibe Hajera High School in the 5th police district of Taloqan, the provincial capital.
