Pajhwok Photo Service

Pajhwok’s photo service was inaugurated on 20 January 2007 with the aim of offering experience and opportunities to young, talented Afghan photojournalists.

We have a team of four photojournalists – two women and two men – who provide timely coverage of news in Afghanistan, as well as photo features on social issues.

We have an archive of thousands of photos for sale, including pictures of key news events and photo essays.

The service marked a milestone in October, 2007, when one of our photographers won a Special Honourable Mention in a photo contest at the second World Congress of News Agencies in Estepona, Spain.
