By Pajhwok Reporter Jan 15, 2012 - 13:23KABUL (PAN): Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier died as a result of non-battle-related injuries in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, the alliance announced.
In line with its policy, the NATO-led force did not reveal the servicemembers' nationalities. With the latest fatalities, the death toll for ISAF in Afghanistan during the current year has reached 16.
Last year, the deadliest for international soldiers, 566 foreign troops were killed in the country. American troops have borne the brunt of the casualties.
A day earlier, two Australian soldiers were wounded when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in central Uruzgan province
