Khurram to attend ECO summit in Tehran

KABUL (PAN): Minister for Information and Culture, Abdul Karim Khurram left for Iranian capital Tehran on Sunday to attend an international tourism conference of ECO member states.

Hamid Nasiri spokesman for the ministry told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Khuram would talk about the problems faced to Afghanistan in the meeting.

 

The spokesman added although the tourism was considerably improved in Afghanistan, if the security situation deteriorated, the tourism would face problems.

Head of Center for International Journalism (CIJ) and Directors of Planning in the ministry are accompanying the minister on this trip.

KABUL, Sep 02, 2010: A drug addict tries to light his opium inside a damaged room in Maiwand Avenue of this capital city. A recent survey, conducted by Ministry of Counter Narcotics and the United Nations Office on Drug Crimes (UNODC), has showed that eight percent of the Afghan population has been addicted to drugs.
