Policeman killed in Taliban attack

KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): A policeman was killed in an overnight Taliban attack on a police check-post on the outskirts of Kunduz City, an official said on Tuesday.

Police chief, Brigadier General Abdul Razzaq Yaqubi told Pajhwok Afghan News the assailants also suffered some casualties in retaliatory fire from police.

As Yaqubi did not put a specific figure on rebel casualties, a Taliban spokesman claimed they killed three policemen, kidnapped a fourth and seized a Kalashnikov rifle during the clash.
