KABUL (PAN): Four Australian soldiers were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) ripped through their vehicle in the central province of Uruzgan, the Australian Defence Force announced on Saturday.
The soldiers with International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were conducting a joint operation with their Afghan counterparts when an IED went up in Uruzgan, the force said, without revealing the exact location.
One of the wounded soldiers was flown to Germany for being serious, the force said.
Australia has around 1,550 troops in Uruzgan.
