KABUL port would begin soon for the winter season.
Over seven million textbooks were published for the current academic year but Pakistan has stopped the books at Karachi Port after NATO Minister Mohammad Farooq Wardak.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News that the textbooks were published in Dubai with the financial support from the NATO forces to address the shortage of books in schools during the winter season.
Up to 113 million textbooks would be published until the end of 2014 with the financial help of the international community, added Wardak.
According to the ministry, since 2003 they have printed 219 million books that were distributed to schools across Afghanistan.
Currently there are15, 600 schools providing education for more than 9.5 million students and there are more than 20,000 teachers in the country.
