CHARIKAR fighters were killed and 30 others wounded in a series of security operations in the central province of Kapisa, officials said on Tuesday.
The six-day operations were conducted by Afghan security personnel in the Tagab district of the province, police spokesman, Asadullah Hamidi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
An Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier was killed and seven Taliban were detained. Five areas were cleared of insurgents, said the district police chief, Col. Mohammad Nawroz.
He added civilians suffered no casualties, but a resident of the district said on condition of anonymity that six common people were killed in the operations.
