“Everything has gone perfectly, according to plan. He is doing great and still on track to leave tomorrow,” according to Bush spokesman, Freddy Ford.
Karzai wished early health recovery for Bush and congratulated him on the successful surgery, the Presidential Palace said in a statement. Bush thanked Karzai for inquiring after his health and said he was in good health condition.
The Afghan leader also phoned Abdullah Gul and felicitated him on Eidul Fitr, the statement said, adding Gul called bilateral relations between the two countries as important.
