GHAZNI CITY/LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): At least four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and five militants have been killed in separate security incidents in different parts of the country during the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence said on Saturday.
According to a statement from the ministry, the four ANA soldiers were killed as result of roadside bomb blasts in Kabul and Helmand provinces.
Elsewhere, five militants including two commanders were killed during an overnight operation in southern Ghazni province. The rebels were killed in Charkhana area of Andar district Friday night.
The 203rd Thunder Military Corps spokesman, Nazifullah Sultani, told Pajhwok Afghan News the rebel commanders were Wasiqullah and Mullah Sheer.
